Hi,
As we all know, palm reading is not used for predictions.
What next? We can explain the his/her nature(physical, mental, emotional) to the person.
But, what's the use to the person whose hands am I reading.
S/he knows his nature.S/he will be surprised by my accuracy in identifying it. That's all.
As a reader, I get confirmations for my knowledge and the person who got his hands read is surprised to hear many things about himself/herself and keep nodding his head.

Overall- what did the person whose hands are read finally got from the reading?!

Couple of things, I tried are as below, with examples:
1. Help them in identifying the blind spots:
For ex: Recently, I read the hands of a psychotherapist. She had a long headline which ends under the left mercury finger. I told her: "You have to utilize your thinking for proper things, otherwise, you'll create mountain out of moles and keep your thinking occupied over small problems. You have to get present to this. This might be your blind spot". Next day morning, I received a text, saying: "I am prsent to my blind spot in my day-to-day activites".

2. Party fun: Havn't done it. But, this can be done. So, adds fun to the party.

3. Help: Which characterstics are too much in them and might be causing the problem. Again, recently, I read the hand of a person, who was at the verge of getting divorced. Not only that, she has many problems all coming out of her compelling, dominating, follow-rules kind of nature.

Cheirology has to be used for thearpy and help the person in making him better. But, shorts readings doesn't help much, except making him/her aware of(conscious of), how s/he is. Making him/her aware makes the whole characterstic traits to come under the person's influence, else, the characterstic traits will influence the person( as s/he isn't aware of it, but, its in him/her)

What are the other things you think of/you do, which helps/adds value to the person, whos hands are read?

P.S: I am assuming that: you're not using the Richard Unger's life purpose, life lesson and life school systems, which can help the person a lot. I want to know, how do you help the person, otherwise?

Hi Mr.Kiran!
I always admire, appreciate and learn a lot from your valuable contribution to this forum. However i m at loss to understand why palmistry can't be used for predictive purpose? Since the time of inception of this branch it has primarily been used for the purpose of prediction alike by royality and men on the street. Even today people visit the palmists just to be clear about future, for rest of the problems they have doctors, psychiatrists, neurologist etc readily available to go . There are numerous examples in past and present, where the learned masters of the palmistry have rightly and successfully predicted the future of visitor, cautioned them about forthcoming right or wrong. If we suppose that palmistry is not for predictive purpose in fact we are negating all the learned masters who mainly were blessed to initiate this discipline for the purpose of guiding the people for future

Hello Kiran,

Good post and very pertinent to usefulness of the whole subject Thumbs up! .What is the use after all for all the research, reading and the energy spent?

My takes are :

1.To detect any abnormal pattern in hands and see if they can be rectified by referring to one qualified to do so.Diseases if can be detected at an early stage can be referred to a doc.So impending changes in the hand can be cautioned for the owners to take care.Lifestyle changes can be suggested for.(In case the reader has any other holistic solutions to offer to the subjects)

2.Career orientation for Children and Traits predominant in a child can be developed to full if the hand shows for marked development or a tendency in those areas.

3.Compatibility in relationships can be made seeing both hands.

Above are a few.But predictive palmistry is still followed extensively in India for sure.
Also I think palmistry has come some way down the ages and more evolved now as a diagnostic tool than mere fatalism. The recent upswing in published literature on Hand Analysis points to that.

What is the Value Add from Your Readings? Empty Re: What is the Value Add from Your Readings?

Post  kiwihands Mon Apr 02, 2012 12:54 am

Hi Kiran,

thank you for introducing such a thought-provoking question!

I agree with all of your points and would add one of my own, although it kind of ties in with your #1 and #3. By telling people about their inner nature, motivations, priorities, communication styles, etc., in a way we give them permission to be more themselves. Traits that have been suppressed from childhood because they were "not ok" can get re-evaluated with an adult perspective and hopefully integrated. For example, a very meek and quiet man, who had been in his (very talkative) wife's shadow for years, had lots of signs in his hands that he should have been a natural story teller, witty, smart, imaginative, and insightful. Although this didn't fit with how I knew him, I asked if he could relate to any of it. He said no. BUT from the next day, as if a dam had broken, he started making jokes and telling elaborate, funny stories! He seems a lot happier now.

Also, the burden of guilt can be taken from someone who has always been blamed and shamed for a certain aspect of their personality, if we explain the hereditary nature of the corresponding feature in their hand. An example for this is an older woman with a long, straight heart line who I read recently, and whose mother made her feel weak and stupid all her life for being too humanitarian, caring too much about helping others rather than advancing herself. She was visibly relieved when I told her that having this trait is not her fault, but that she was born like this.

Regards,
Kiwi

Hi Nasir, Raman and Kiwi,
Thanks a lot for sharing your views. Very good points.

Nasir - Yeah, I am still open to the fact that palm reading can be used for predictive purposes. But, the accuracy is the challenge and also the possibility of the lines changing. So, I am bit reluctant to use it.

Raman - "Compatibility" is a very good point that you bought in. Though, I read about it, it never came to my mind.

Kiwi - "give them permission to be more themselves" and the "burden of guilt": wonderful points. It will have very good impact, if a palm reader can put it across properly.

In the same context, I most of the time refer these lines from Jen's article, while reading the hands. It says - "Being acutely sensitive means that in order to cope, you have to organise your life around your trait.". You can read this article full here: http://cheiro.co.za/too-many-lines

Hi Kiran,

We know hand is a powerful tool in the diagnosis of psychological, medical and genetic condition. Palmistry can help people to know them better. Success starts when you are yourself. You can be yourself when you know yourself and your hands show you how.

We can reveal a person’s work. Blessed is the person who has found his work; ask him/her no further blessedness. Palmistry can unlock your true potential, enable you to live as your authentic self , resolve love matters and romance, transform negative patterns of behavior, improve your love life, improve personal relationships, give you insight into your health and body needs, so that you can use this knowledge to shape your future in a well desired manner.

The hands express a wealth of information about ourselves that can enable us to understand certain latent tendencies in our natures, both positive and negative. This study answers to the questions like- Who are you? What are you? What can you become? We can thus improve by discarding bad things habits and adopting the good ones.

I believe the study of Palmistry is a form of divination. It gives power of prophecy to its masters, something that provides direction or advice as to a decision or course of action for the future. The original intent of palmistry was for personality assessment and counseling.

I don’t know about others but there is great value add to my hand analysis/reading. People don’t pay me for my knowledge on the subject; they pay me for the tips I give them during the session as what to do now and how. Though, hand reading can have multiple purports or intentions. But collectively the single point agenda that keeps me going is to make a positive difference to one’s life. How you do this, this depends on your past experiences and personal talent and on person to person. There cannot be any formula in this regard as far as counseling is concerned because environment is greater than a man and his lot. We have to ponder on many things. We should learn when to stop observing and start to contemplate for the solutions. If you can do that it will be great for everyone.

Recently I analyzed a pair of hands of a person who did not have a Directional Transverse
-Fate Line- at all and he is still successful as far as money is concerned. I advised him too how his life should be.

What is the Value Add from Your Readings? Empty Value add from Readings

Post  discovery Wed Apr 04, 2012 7:45 am

Hi All

One thing to note is that some people are still skeptical about Palmistry and its ability to record past events and foretell future possibilities/potentialities.

A good palmist by correctly estimating the past events reduces the level of skepticism in the client and can positively advise them on the future.

If at the end of the session the client is more prepared to deal with the possible future in a positive way and understands the symbolic meaning of palmistry i.e. what we do with the future is in our hands I think the palmist has done a good job.

Thanks

Thank you Discovery.
One more thing I thot of was: To ask the client, if s/he is going thru any particular issue(emotional/ mental). We may then help him/her understand if there is anything in excess in him, which is causing the problem.

Hello Discovery,

There are reasons for people being skeptical about Palmistry. It is still not a accepted science and the rules are still not canonical.Much depends on the proficiency of the Palmist in reading the lines and reading in between the lines. So I feel the general perspective about palmistry is still justified. What I have excluded under the above in Palmistry are Finger Prints and Dermatoglyphics,Medical aspects and Morphology.

Simply, the hand reader provides proof of their understanding of subject's nature through hand. The subject becomes trusting and appreciative and the hand reader can apply knowledge to suggest pathways to alleviate difficulties and improve life.

I can't think of much to add to what has already been well said by everyone else.

Except I have a very simplified explanation. When I'm working at an event where I'm paid by the hour and need to move people fairly quickly and they are given a choice between a tarot reading or a palm reading, instead of spending their brief minutes explaining the difference when asked, I have abbreviated it down to: Tarot is about your stuff and palmistry is about your self. (stuff not necessarily representing material goods, but the things, experiences life brings you) So basically I've narrowed it down to one word. Self.
