THUMB-CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL WHETHER IT IS TRUE THAT THE OUTER AREA OF THUMB,THE LINES FORMING A LETTER REPRESENTS THE FIRST LETTER OF THE NAME OF FUTURE LIFE PARTNER??

This question was posed to me by a Lady in 2005 in Palmistry Primal Focus. I have never read about it but I checked my thumb and I have the first letter of the name of my wife at the back of the thumb at the joint. Subsequently I saw many more palms but could not get any confirmation and I replied her in the negative though she also had the first alphabet of her boyfriend's name.

Hi Pravin,

Thanks for your report. I think it is essential here that you could not find confirmation in far most palms that you have studied.

Now, in general: if one checks a theory many times and one finds a positive result in only 2 cases... then I perceive this as evidence that the theory does not work, and the result for those 2 single cases is likely just coincidence.

As a consequence one could also wonder about about much associative thinking has been involved in those 2 cases - because one should be aware of how human psychology works: in daily life it is just normal to see subjective vailidated evidence... even when there is no real evidence!

I hope this sounds sensible?

hi,
interestingly enough it is true in my case too what Mr Pravin kumar has said both RH LH thumb-backs have letter N on the joints, but not only there this letter is formed at many other locations on my palms, but still it has to be nothing but coincidence, N or M or Z could be so easily formed on palms

S_udit, I think you have made a spot-on comment; yes, I think some letters are much more likely to be 'projected' by the mind.

This is almost like a Rorschach test: in any hand there are always many lines on the back of the thumb (especially in the zone between the nail phalange and the middle phalange), so when people claim that there is only one single letter one probably has to focus the mind on some lines... and ignore the other lines.

This is rather typical for how 'subjective evidence' tends to be created... even in situations when there is no evidence at all.
