I slipped back to my days at University doing Genetics... so it was from a purely intellectual level asking whether any studies had looked into recessive genes or random mutations.
I would never allude to a sitter anything of that nature, as in most cases it simply is a statistical observation that a higher than expected frequency expected by chance occur in most conditions.
For instance the crease on the 2nd phalange of the thumb is one that I have, and I prefer to think it is in recognition of a block to my logical thinking process, as last time I looked in the mirror I didn't resemble someone with Pitt Rogers Dank Syndrome.
And the transverse hypothenar crease could be a manifestation of gout or rheumatism or in new age terms, one hellofa astral traveller rather than Coffin Lowry syndrome.
