TOP 5 Hand signs in Fragile-X syndrome, co-occurs with autism in about 5% of cases!
Fragile-X syndrome is a genetic disorder (often featured with both a mental handicap and autism), caused by a defect in chromosome band Xq27.3. Regarding the hand, scientific studies have pointed out that there is a large group of significant hand signs that may provide a clue for Fragile-X syndrome. This article presents an overview of 36 individual hand signs that are significant for Fragile-X syndrome (featured with illustrative statistics).
Fragile-X syndrome is known as the 2nd most common genetic cause for an intellectual handicap, especially in males (Down syndrome is known to represent the most common genetic cause in intellectually handicapped people).
